Computer Consultant Blog Introduction
Hello and thanks for visiting this blog. I plan to write a new post at least 3 times per week. I hope that this blog will be useful to my visitors. I am a technology consultant. Mostly I consult with companies about their computer systems, software, networks, and telecommunication systems. I solve problems for them. With 20+ years in the information technology field I’ve picked up “a few” things here and there that might be of assistance for you to know, and I’m planning on writing about them as well as changes in the infotech industry in general.
Most of my computer and network consulting clients are based in the Baltimore MD Metropolitan Area – Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Carroll County. I have other clients elsewhere in Maryland and rest of the U.S.A. who I help with other needs that don’t require my physical presence.

By the way, the image above is of a “platter” of a hard drive. The tip of the V shaped arm is where the reading and writing of the data on your hard drive takes place. The reader/writer head is able to read and write to VERY tiny areas on the platter and is extremely sensitive. It hovers ever so slightly above the surface of the platter while your pc is running.
